Jayde Mullis, M.ED, LAPC
Jayde is a graduate of the University of Georgia’s Masters in mental health counseling program with experience seeing individuals and couples and currently holds a license in the State of Georgia as a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC). Jayde is practicing under the supervision of Nick Marzo, MS, LPC, LMHC, CST, CPCS, NCC, CCMHC, and under the direction of James Kingman, MS, LPC, NCC. Jayde uses the pronouns they/them and identifies as a trans-nonbinary lesbian. They are working on a specialization in LGBTQ+. BIPOC, and neurodiverse clientele with prior experience working with these marginalized populations.
As an autistic individual, Jayde seeks to help other neurodiverse individuals with identifying and accommodating their unique needs. Jayde operates with a social justice and queer affirming lens utilizing modalities such as narrative therapy and interpersonal process theory. They are also adept at pulling interventions from CBT, DBT, and mindfulness practices in order to support client development of coping skills. Jayde recognizes the impact of environmental and social factors on the mental health of their clients and works to collaborate with them on determining strategies for pursuing health, happiness, and wellbeing.
Jayde has experience working with clients on matters such as interpersonal relationship difficulties, generational trauma, depression, anxiety, gender and sexuality exploration, Autism, ADHD, and body image to name a few. Jayde prides themselves on their ability to connect, empathize with and advocate for their clients. They strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for processing and healing keeping each client’s unique needs in mind.
